If you have work experience in-home child-care provider or home support worker, you may be able to apply for permanent residence under caregiver class. There are two programs for this:
- CARING FOR CHILDREN PROGRAM
2 years full-time work experience in Canada as a home child (under 18 years of age) care provider in the 4 years before applying.
Meet minimum language and educational requirements. - CARING FOR PEOPLE WITH HIGH MEDICAL NEEDS
2 years full time experience in Canada in the 4 years before applying as:
Registered Nurse.
Licensed Practical Nurse.
Nurse Aides, Orderlies and Patient Service.
Home Support Worker.
Meet minimum language and educational requirements. - Live-In Caregiver
TR valid status.
Work Permit as LICG
Entered Canada as LICG.
2 years or full-time work as LICG or 3900hrs/22 months in the 4 years after entry.
